Based on the technical heritage of Carl Zeiss Jena (all but one are former Zeiss employees), the employees are well experienced in the wide field of development, manufacturing, integration, and test of high-precision opto-mechanical devices. To this furthermore adds the knowledge in physics (especially optics), mathematics, and software development. The activities of the employees are based on modern software tools for mechanical design, optical analysis, and software development. |

- on the Beutenberg Campus with its numerous institutes, including the Fraun-hofer institute,

- in the German state of Thuringia with its Technical University and numerous high-tech companies.
