Powerful and precise vehicle mounted camera stabilization
Whether on the road, off-road or on rails – everything that moves on land generates motions. A recording of videos and capturing of images is disturbed by these movements. Our OSM 4000 is designed to provide the best possible mobile data recording and to compensate for these roll and pitch movements caused by the vehicle. First-class built-in sensors detect the movements, precise internal algorithms calculate the compensation and an extremely powerful hydraulic gimbal system counterbalances them. From video cameras to LiDAR systems to infrared-, hyperspectral or pan/tilt/zoom cameras – all payloads benefit from stabilization, as significantly improved data acquisition results from leveraging a gyro stabilization. The OSM 4000 is the strongest stabilization platform ever developed by SOMAG. Thanks to the hydraulic system and a dynamic peak torque of 550 Nm, the heaviest (multi-) sensor systems of up to 300 kg can be aligned absolutely precisely to the horizon or to the desired direction.
Dual-axis gyro stabilizer for large vehicles
The dual-axis gyro stabilization ensures enhanced observation and surveillance capabilities on mobile defense solutions, wheeled armored fighting vehicles (AFV), cross country trucks, transport vehicles and other mobile platforms and ground vehicles. The weatherproof design (IP class 67) protects the stabilizer from environmental influences such as dust, salt- and splash water.
The OSM 4000 now offers an Ethernet interface for easy integration into the vehicle’s infrastructure. Transmission of external data such as GPS data can be realized as well as the input of IMU data for improved stabilization in terms of leveling and heading accuracy.

For all Gyro Stabilization Mounts, SOMAG provides a self-developed Mount Control App with numerous features. It is your all-in-one tool for managing your Mount. The app is part of the standard scope of delivery of each device and is delivered on a USB stick together with the Mount.
SOMAG offers optional Software Features which allow you to customize your Mount individually to your mission requirements.
