On September 11th and 12th Sebastian Schreiber, CTO of SOMAG AG Jena and Marketing Manager Lisa Schönburg visited the DSEI in London. The exhibition is one of the world's leading events for security and defence. On both days we informed ourselves about the latest technologies and were able to make valuable business contacts. We presented our gimbal systems as perfect add-on products for airborne as well as for land and marine applications for mobile data acquisition and surveillance systems.
Our compact and cost-efficient gyro mount CSM 40 is particularly suitable for stabilizing camera and laser systems in ultralight aircraft and unmanned aircraft vehicles/ unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs/UASs). Our ruggedized land- and marine mounts RSM 400 and OSM 4000 are the optimal supplements for Pan- and Tilt Systems. These systems, mostly equipped with electro-optical sensors and radar, are usually stabilized only in two axes. Which allows the system to point up, down and at any angle in between as well as to point left, right, and in between. In mobile use, however, they remain exposed to the movements and vibrations of ground vehicles and surface vessels caused by uneven terrain or waves. Our stabilization platforms, on the other hand, also compensate for roll movements, the rotation about the front axis, and thus offer a perfectly stabilized field of view and a significantly better data quality. Our gyro stabilizers are very versatile and can be combined with almost any sensor.
We had a very exciting and interesting time at this year's DSEI and will certainly be back in two years' time.
