Company founder Konrad Steps began his mechanical engineering studies at the Technical University Dresden in 1963 together with 30 fellow students.
After the intermediate diploma in 1966, the study group still consisted of about 20 students who then left the TU as graduate engineers in 1968.
The seminar group also included students from Hungary and at times a student from Ghana.
After 5 years a alumni meeting was organized for the first time in Dresden. It was decided that this tradition should be maintained for the coming years.
The coming meetings took place due to the age of the graduates every two years, mainly in Dresden and surroundings, in Jena and also in Hungary. Leipzig, Grimma and the Erzgebirge were also meeting places.
At the graduate meeting in Jena 2018 the participants received the Golden Diploma Certificate for the 50th return of the successful graduation, organized by the TU Dresden.
We congratulate Konrad Steps on this award. We think that this is a great gesture of appreciation towards the graduates, which maintains the connection to the university.
For this year's graduate meeting, Konrad Steps travelled to Hungary, where he and his former fellow students revived the memories of their years of study together.
